Rennes (April 12th)

Bonjour a LaSalle!  I'm gonna make it quick here before I let Valeria get on the horn.
SPOILER ALERT: We had another incredible day, imagine that.  How incredible was it? Today was so incredible, the sun even decided to come out and shine with us.  Led by Pascel, our first amazing guide, we learned about the history of Brittany at the Musee de Bretagne. After that, Lionel,  our other amazing guide, led us on a wonderful walking tour of Rennes.  It's the capital of the region of Brittany, and one heck of a good time.

Also parents, please don't be alarmed, you're children are very happy.  In two of the photos below, the reason the boys and girls facial expressions look like they're in prison is because they in fact were.  The two pictures were taken in the historic prison of Rennes.  No need to go digging in the couches for bail money.  Valeria... you're up!

Written by Valeria Flores (Le Parlement de Bretagne)

Today we went to Le Parlement de Bretagne, which is the court house.  It's a working criminal court.  We were told how in 1997 there was a great fire in the court house.  Our tour guide told us what had been destroyed and how, in the restoration,  the decoration was done in a more modern way.  We went into two of the chamber rooms and some of us got to sit where the judges sit.  As I was taking notes for writing on the blog, I realized that I was actually sitting in the secretary's chair!  The visit to parlement was a very fun experience.
